Licensing & the watermark

OGPlayer ships fully functional with no license key: every feature works, and the player renders a small OGPlayer watermark. That’s the whole trial model — integrate, test and evaluate for as long as you need with no sign-up and no time limit.

Production use requires a license

The watermarked build is an evaluation build, not a free production tier. Shipping OGPlayer in an app, site or service available to end users requires a commercial license — whether or not the watermark is showing. You may not remove, hide, obscure or tamper with the watermark by any means other than a valid license key. The full rules are in the terms of use.

A license key removes the watermark:

• keys are verified offline (no phone-home, no runtime dependency on our servers) using the same signed-key format on every platform;
• one key covers your application on Android, iOS, web, smart TVs, React Native and Flutter;
• set it once at player construction — setLicenseKey("OGP2…") on Android, OGPlayer(licenseKey:) on iOS, new OGPlayer({ licenseKey }) on web, licenseKey="OGP2…" on <OGPlayerView> in React Native, licenseKey: 'OGP2…' on OGPlayerView in Flutter.
